Netballers shine bright in wet conditions at Bunyip - U17
Phillip Island 48 def Bunyip 22.
Under grey sky and in pouring rain both teams got off to a tentative start on a very wet, slippery court.
The first quarter saw both teams match each other goal for goal with Phillip Island up by one point at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter saw our girls' confidence build and dominate, taking charge across the court only allowing Bunyip to score twice to our 15.
By the third quarter the rain was easing but with the court still soaking wet, players from both sides were slipping and sliding taking a few tumbles here and there with the ball also slipping from cold wet hands.
Bunyip clawed back a few goals during Q3 and Q4, but our girls kept a strong lead to win 48-22.
Best on court went to Isla Cousins and Maya Huther who both demonstrated some spectacular intercepts throughout the game.
Well done to all our Under 17 girls on another job well done!
