Netballers welcome Kilcunda-Bass rivals in local showdown - U11

This Saturday the club took on local rivals Kilcunda Bass with a lot of great banter at schools leading up to it.

Evie was named captain for the day and continued to show the fierce defence she has shown through the middle of the court.

The game was tight for the first half with each team going goal for goal, and the Island were ahead by two at the main break.

A settled team for the second half showed what these girls can do and put on a fantastic display of defence and attack, which resulted in cleaner ball into the ring and more shots going in the net.

Frankie was unreal all day, and her passing through traffic and to space with weighted passes was a real highlight of the day and received an award for her game.

We’ve now strung together two wins and are so excited to see what the next few games hold for the girls.

There is no ceiling for these girls’ potential and love seeing them raise the bar each game.

Go Bulldogs!

Best on court: Frankie O’Brien.
