Phillip Island bowls

The Men’s Minor Championship was held on Sunday.

Wayne Barr came from behind to defeat Pat Ryan.

Both contestants provided an entertaining game for spectators.

Our Christmas celebrations were held on Thursday night.

Thanks go to Sheila and Joe Korda for setting the tables with a festive spirit and Steve Williams for the background music.

It was great to be able to look forward to Christmas.

One of the Men’s team from Phillip Island is into the SGBD Men’s Fours final, skippered by Russell May, with Glen Cohen, Andy Dennis and Bob Auchatell.

The other Semi-final has yet to be played with another Phillip Island team competing.

Barefoot Bowls is back and will commence from December 27, we expect there will be many visitors wishing to play over the summer, so bookings essential.

Corporate Bowls will also begin mid-January, this is usually a well contested competition for community teams.
