Travelling to Cora Lynn, the team knew that they were in for a tough contest.
With the openness of the court presenting a unique challenge, the inspiration came from the Shinkansen, the famous Japanese bullet train.
The focus was on playing with speed and precision through short, sharp passes and strong leads.
Piper O’Brien set the standard from the opening whistle, working tirelessly to create options and drive the ball forward.
It was a determined team performance with lots of change positions, but Cora Lynn was just too strong.

Phillip Island travelled to the Cobra Dome to take on the top-of-the-table Cora Lynn in Round 10.
Despite a loss, the Bulldogs showed plenty of determination and never stopped competing against one of the competition’s strongest sides.
The girls worked hard across all four quarters, creating some great passages of play and continuing to support each other under pressure.
While the result didn’t go the girl’s way, there were plenty of positives to take from the match as the team continues to develop and challenge themselves against the best.

The scoreboard may have read a win to Cora Lyn, but anyone watching knew the story was much closer than the numbers suggest.
The Bulldogs matched it with their opponents in a competitive opening quarter and showed plenty of grit and determination throughout the game.
Cora Lyn found another gear as the match went on, but Phillip Island never stopped competing and kept creating opportunities.
Another week of learning, growing, and proving this group can match it with quality opposition, and they will be back barking next week.
