From the first quarter, the Island knew it would be a tough game.
Tooradin started off strong gaining a big lead, but Phillip Island's defenders worked hard to convert turnovers into goals.
The midcourt pushed through tall players throughout the court to keep the game flowing, bringing it down to the Island's goal end, where debut Matilda Walton was shooting.
Throughout the final quarter, Phillip Island almost evened out that quarter's score.
The team pushed through, keeping their heads high and having fun, playing their own game.
