Island netballers face Nar Nar Goon - C Grade
Phillip Island: 19 def by Nar Nar Goon: 52.
C Grade
C Grade had a great game with everyone putting in their hardest.
The team had a slow relaxed start due to some teeny bopper music playing and although they didn’t win, it felt like a win as a team, to see all the smiles and laughter going on.
The efforts of Lawri and Nikki playing out of their comfort zones in goals when they are both defenders is what team play is all about.
They got better and better as the game went on and it was great to see Lawri come out for a run in GA and Nikki putting up some great shots.
Chloe playing WD when she normally doesn’t, and then out of the wing.
She had more time to think and plan her attacks and Chloe dominated.
It was Karina’s turn to dominate in GD with her speed, gliding and quick manoeuvring in the ring.
Beautiful to watch.
Rose enjoyed the switch of wings and proved she is a force either side.
Tori the born-to-lead Captain, proved she’s up for any challenge and is playing her best netball ever.

Energizer bunny Rachel just keeps going and giving, trying her hand on the wing as well and proved yet again that you are never too old to start something new.
Thanks to Taylah for playing on Saturday in her first game back for over 10 years.
Taylah bounded like a pro.
Overall, it was a really nice hard game of netball against a great opposition in Nar Nar Goon.
End result was a loss 19 to 52 with proud smiles on the teams faces.
It was quick change and then straight to the breast cancer fundraiser in the club rooms to listen to the Rose girl’s angelic voice.
Just Rose and her guitar playing covers and originals just finished off a great day perfectly and everyone could have stayed listening to her all day.
Maybe some new warm up tunes have been found to rev up for next week’s game!
Best on court awards: Chloe Moxey, Rose Van Rooy and Karina Reynolds.
