Island makes waves at Koo Wee Rup

A Grade
Scores: Koo Wee Rup: 50 def Phillip Island: 41.
B Grade
Phillip Island's B Grade were dominant from the get-go. Their centre passes were unstoppable, and Isla's impressive intercepts got them up 5-0.
By the end of the first quarter, the island lead 13-9.
Their second quarter was just as strong, with fantastic pathways down the midcourt, the island's defence showed relentless pressure and grabbed every rebound.
In the third quarter the goalies worked well together, scoring another six in a row, showcasing their accuracy.
The last quarter saw a few position changes within both sides. Koo Wee Rup fought back, but the island pulled off a great win with every member contributing.
Best on court: Meika, Anthea and Isla.

C Grade

U17s
The island girls came out strong in their play and ability to adapt to a slippery court. Phillip Island led the first quarter.
Koo Wee Rup fought back hard, resulting in an even second quarter. Isla, Sophia and Jasira in defence were strong, intercepting and grabbing rebounds.
The ball moved smoothly down the midcourt with Maya, Abby, Jazz and Tilly using fast passes and fast feet.
Matilda and Meika showed great teamwork, leading to multiple goals being scored.

U15s
The U15s had an unexpected tougher game last week against Koo Wee Rup. The first quarter showed some accurate shooting by Aisha which was soon backed up by Mia and Adelle during the second and third quarter.
The mid court with Ava, Ellie, Isla and Piper were put under physical pressure by their opponents and had to work tirelessly to get the ball down the court.
Maisie, Tilly and Ruby worked hard in defence all game against Koo Wee Rup's accurate goal shooter.
The team had a third quarter slump but were able to come away in the last with a close win.
Best on court: Matilda Trew and Ruby Mewett.

U13s
It was cold and foggy as the island girls made their way to Koo Wee Rup to take on the Demons at their home ground.
After scoring 10 points in the first quarter to the Demons' two and then another 14 points by half time, Coach Lawri decided to mix up her players positions in order to give everyone a decent turn and try their hand at a few different positions.
Eden took control wearing the goal shooting and wing attack bib, Piper had a turn in the Centre and Charlee whizzed around as goalkeeper.
The girls had a lot of fun trying some different positions and happily came out with a 38-point win.

U11s
In a frosty morning showdown at Koo Wee Rup, the U11 girls faced challenging playing conditions, but that didn't dampen their spirits.
As the girls warmed up, the speed of the game intensified, showcasing their determination and resilience.
Amidst the chilly weather, teamwork proved to be the key ingredient for success once again. The girls exhibited remarkable coordination and support for each other throughout the match, demonstrating their strong bond as a team.
In the end, victory belonged to the island.
Standout performances were aplenty, with Marley shining in defence and Milla dominating the mid-court with numerous intercepts.
