Shaping the future of water together

Westernport Water customers are invited to help shape the future of water, sewerage and recycled water services as part of the organisation's next water price review.

The organisation has launched its largest ever community engagement campaign, Let's Talk - an 18-month program designed to gather customer and community feedback that will help inform services, projects and prices for the five-year period from 2028 to 2033.

Over the coming months, Westernport Water will be out in the community seeking feedback through events, surveys, forums and community meetings.

"Our Price Submission engagement program gives customers a genuine opportunity to help shape the future of our services and inform important planning decisions," said Westernport Water's Managing Director, Dona Tantirimudalige.

"We want everyone to have their say. Whether you own, rent, run a business or visit the region regularly, your feedback is valuable.

"By working closely with customers, community members, Traditional Owners and stakeholders, we can better understand what people value most and ensure our plans reflect community priorities.

"You don't need to be an expert to take part. If you have an opinion and a willingness to share it, we encourage you to get involved."

Feedback

Westernport Water said recent community feedback has highlighted water quality, reliable services, affordable prices and action on climate change as key priorities for customers. These insights will help shape discussions as Westernport Water develops its plan for the future.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, Westernport Water will email its annual customer satisfaction survey to customers on October 1, providing another opportunity to share their views on water and sewerage services.

Customers are also invited to register their interest in participating in paid customer panels during 2027. To take part, participants must be aged 16 years or older and either be a Westernport Water customer or reside within the service area.
