Farmers needed for national soil testing program

Southern Cross University and the Environmental Analysis Laboratory (EAL) are inviting farmers and land managers across the country to participate in an incentivised soil sampling and analysis program.

They can receive $275 per sampling site, capped at $10,000 per ABN, towards the cost of soil sampling and analysis and sharing the data through ANSIS. They can also receive assistance from Commonwealth-funded soil extension officers to interpret their soil test results.

The program ends on June 30, 2023 and is supported by funding through the Australian Government National Soil Strategy (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry).

Salvo’s Christmas Appeal

The Salvo’s have launched their annual Christmas Appeal and aim to raise $23 million to support Australians in need this festive season.

The Salvation Army nationally distributes over 64,000 hampers and vouchers to those struggling to make ends meet and hundreds of thousands of gifts and toys to families.
