It was the first game of the season in front of the huge Easter Saturday crowd.
With a mixture of fresh new faces and players from last season there was much anticipation to keep the winning streak against Warragul alive after defeating them in a thriller at the tail end of last season.
Alicia Prentice got things off to a fabulous start, with her experience in and around the goal circle and her accuracy under the ring.
Team captain Abby Morgan showed exactly why she was chosen to lead with her expertise in the centre, with her speed and ability to read the play.
But then, contributions from all positions lead to a goal for goal throughout the last quarter.
It was the island with a one-point lead at the final siren to keep the winning streak alive. Off to a fabulous start in 2024 for the team.
