U13 Red make it to the LDNA Grand Final!

The sun was shining brightly in Leongatha on Saturday for the Island Red's in the LDNA preliminary final against Inverloch-Kongwak Red.
The girls admitted to a few nerves before they took the court, but that only motivated them more as they started out strong from the first centre.
With the ever-steady defence and attack line ups the team had perfected, the Island Red's went goal for goal with Inverloch-Kongwak in the first quarter keeping the score tied as they went to the break.
Then came the second and the Red's didn't hold back.
With strong intercepts and great communication and encouragement of each other across the court, the ball continued to find the net, as the Island Red girls kept the score climbing.
Half time saw them out in front 16-9.
A quick encouraging chat over oranges with coach Trish at the break and the Island Red girls went back on with passion and fire for the last half.
Stellar intercepts and powerful passes by the defence, the turn overs saw Island Red's attack deliver time and time again with understanding conviction.
As the final siren rang Phillip Island Under 13 Red had achieved what they had set out to do, secure the win and their spot in the LDNA Grand Final next weekend.
