Bass Coast Shire Council has advised work will begin to repair the Kilcunda foreshore toilets, starting on January 16.
The work which will rectify identified defects with the toilets is expected to be finished by January 24.
GR Design & Construct Pty Ltd will undertake the repairs. Council has asked for the community to be patient, as the repairs may be inconvenient for some.
“To reduce this inconvenience as much as possible the works will be completed in sections to ensure that public users of these facilities can continue to access the toilets during the works,” a council spokesperson said.
“The works are being conducted to ensure this facility is fully functional for the Kilcunda Lobster Festival, scheduled for the Australia Day weekend, to meet the increased demand.”
