Big wins for Island teams
The Sharks look forward to playing on home turf this week.
U12A Penguins
After a frosty island morning, this match took a while to defrost.
After 20 minutes it was 0-0 with the Leongatha press working effectively.
Defenders Zack and Ryder still managed to pass it out, so there was no damage on the scoreboard.
In the final ten minutes of the half, both sides breathed to life.
Five quick goals going in for a 3-2 score in favour of Island.
After half time, the play was still even, but the goals were going in for Island, suddenly both Marlo and Lincoln had hat-tricks.
Another feature of the day was young local referee Ferg making his way as an official and handling the day with a calm demeanour and accurate decisions.
It was great to see development in all areas of the game, supported by the Breakers family.

U12B Sharks
The Sharks travelled to Korumburra in perfect sunny conditions on the weekend.
An early goal to each side set the stage for a competitive match, but the Sharks quickly found their rhythm.
With a little help from two Mini Roo’s, they added two more goals before half-time to take control.
The second half belonged to the Sharks, who produced some outstanding team football, scoring another six goals while the defence worked tirelessly to deny Korumburra's determined attacks, sealing an impressive victory.
Jordan earned a well-deserved Man of the Match award after making several brilliant saves in goal before moving into the field to score.
Benji was also outstanding with two goals and a strong all-round performance.
The team was thrilled to announce Luka as their new captain, recognising his leadership, encouragement, and positive influence.
