Bass Coast Shire Council is inviting the community to take part in an interactive Climate Action Plan Review Workshop at Berninneit in Cowes on Saturday October 25, from 10.30am to 3pm.
The workshop is part of the mid-term review of Council's Climate Action Plan 2020-2030, offering locals the chance to reflect on what's been achieved so far, share lived experiences, and help set the priorities for the next five years of climate action across the region.
Facilitated by a climate expert, the workshop will include group discussions, creative thinking, and opportunities to explore key themes such as energy transition, sustainable transport, waste and the circular economy, land and nature, resilience, equity and climate justice, and local leadership.
Participants will also have the opportunity to help prioritise which actions and focus areas matter most for Bass Coast's future, helping Council refine the plan to ensure it reflects community aspirations and remains achievable, effective, and bold.
The workshop will be an engaging, hands-on session - with opportunities to collaborate, share stories, and connect with others who care deeply about the future of the region. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
If you can't make it to the workshop, you can still have your say by completing the online survey.
Places for the workshop are limited, and registration is essential, so book now.
