Kilcunda Bass face Koo Wee Rup
There were plenty of positives to take from the games.
U17
A decent start to the game on Saturday, the team stayed with Koo Wee Rup for the most part of the first quarter.
Considering the girls haven’t had a good training session for a few weeks due to holidays and illness they showed some positive passages of play.
The defenders were strong with their pressure causing some decent turnovers and the mid court and shooters worked hard to get the points on the scoreboard.
Unfortunately, the stronger Koo Wee Rup side got away from the team, and they were unable to close the gap.
A huge improvement compared to the last time they played them doubling the score so the team will take that away as a positive and move on to next weekend’s game against Dalyston.

U15
The U15s travelled to Koo Wee Rup this week, where they took on the challenge of playing indoors after spending the entire season on outdoor courts.
It took the girls a few overthrows to adjust to the different conditions, but once they settled, they controlled the game from start to finish.
Kilcunda Bass established a five-goal lead in the opening quarter and maintained that advantage throughout the match.
Strong defensive pressure across the court created plenty of opportunities, while the goalers combined beautifully and finished their work well.
It was fantastic to see the team confidently utilise the reset they have been working on at training, showing great composure and teamwork when under pressure.

U13
Kilcunda-Bass U13s came up against a strong Koo Wee Rup outfit on Saturday, going down in a hard-fought contest.
At times the girls found themselves reacting to the opposition rather than playing on their own terms, which allowed the pressure to build.
Despite the challenge, they never dropped their heads, continuing to work hard for one another and producing some excellent passages of play when they settled into their game.
It was a tough day at the office, but there were still plenty of positives to take away as the team continues to develop each week against quality opposition.
Best on Court went to Emily Vanderspeek, whose determination and work rate stood out all game.
Emily continually challenged herself, lifted those around her, and never stopped looking for ways to make an impact for the team.
A well-deserved performance.

Kilcunda Bass U11’s travelled to Koo Wee Rup on Saturday, where they were defeated.
With Koo Wee Rup currently sitting third on the ladder, the team can be proud of their determined effort and positive attitude throughout the game.
Every player worked hard, supported one another, and continued to show improvement against quality opposition.
Tommy Magnussen was awarded Best on Court, impressing with strong performances in both WA and WD.
The team continues to improve each week and is looking forward to taking on Dalyston next Saturday.
