Tickets to the 2026 Phillip Island Festival of Stories are released today, July 1. Author Marcus Zusak is among the star-studded line up.

The program for this year Phillip Island Festival of Stories once again includes a line up of the best in Australian book offerings, from crime to gardening.

The fun begins on Friday evening with a Welcome to Country at 5.30 pm by Uncle Steve Ulula Parker.

This will be followed by Marcus Zusak in the theatre bringing to life his memoir Three Wild Dogs and the Truth, accompanied by music from Rosie Westbrook.

Marcus will return to the theatre on Saturday morning chatting about his famous works and writing life.

Chris Hammer, best-selling crime novelist, talks about his books to journalist, podcaster, and master true crime writer Andrew Rule.

Renowned horticulturist, Jane Edmanson, shares her joy of gardening and Antoinette Lattouf, human rights advocate, discusses justice and her book Women Who Win.

At dawn on Sunday, bird nerd, Sean Dooley, conducts a birding walk in Rhyll, followed by a breakfast for 30 lucky people.

Travis Lovett and Jack Latimore tell us about walking 900 km from Melbourne to Canberra to deliver a healing message to the PM.

Alli Parker, Olivia Tolich, Bridie Blake and Sandi Wallace talk fiction writing.

Day passes are at a generous discount to offer value, with the program and tickets released today, July 1.

Festival organiser Lois Gaskin said from the first Phillip Island Festival of Stories in 2017 their volunteer committee had met around kitchen tables to put together festivals "full of vibrant conversations, unique stories, and community engagement".

"This year is no different," Lois said."

"I thank them for their enthusiasm and hard work, and for never losing sight of our goal to create a weekend with something for everyone."
