CINNAMON Stevens -Crime Buster, is the name
of a fun, crime/adventure novel for readers aged 10
plus, which will be launched at the Nobbies Centre
Function space on Friday, April 1 at 10.30am.
Author Pauline Hosking, a teacher, has spent many
happy hours on Phillip Island, often bringing chil-
dren to school camps here.
Pauline has many happy memories of time spent
here, and so has based the characters in her book
on Phillip Island.
The book’s heroine, 12 year-old Cinnamon Ste-
vens, dreams of becoming a super sleuth.
When one of her class mates disappears while on a
school camp on Phillip Island, she decides to investi-
gate. But, does she have the nerves of steel necessary
to solve this dark and dangerous crime?
Will her Wing Chun Kung Fu skills protect her?
And can Cinnamon survive Year 7 without her very

local primary school students about her work.
There will also be a talk about penguin protection
from one of Phillip Island Nature Parks Education
